One of the most worrying situations for carers and educators is seeing that their children and students struggle to accept rules or that they exhibit problematic behaviours. These behaviours can vary in type and intensity, but they often interfere with the child’s quality of life and the lives of those who live or work with them because they hinder academic performance and affect day-to-day family life.

This course, Behavioural Disorders in Children, provides carers and educators with basic training in the field of childhood behavioural disorders. It offers theoretical and practical knowledge about how to intervene in different cases. The course pays special attention to the three most common disorders—Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder—in order to assist with early diagnosis, and it also covers the most effective Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.
