In recent years, we have seen an increase of artistic training and activities in our leisure and free time—and more demand for them, too. Therefore, there are growing numbers of therapeutic spaces and institutions in which the visual arts are the primary focus. The use of art has been proven very effective in socio-education intervention as well as personal improvement.
Artistic activities not only develop personal skills like creativity; they also use perception, self-knowledge, self-motivation and resilience as tools that provide satisfaction and lead to personal improvement. Everyone can enjoy the benefits that these skills offer.
Our Art Therapy course provides students with conceptual, methodological and practical elements that can be applied to previous knowledge in the complex field of art therapy, or to any field that can incorporate art into its practice. It focuses on the extensive potential that visual art activities have for social, educational and personal development.
2 months (200 hours) from the 9th May 2018 – 9th July 2018.
100% online through our e-learning platform which you can access 24/7. There is no fixed learning rhythm and there are no set dates for the exams so you are free to work on the course and take the exams at your own pace. The only requirement is that you finish the course and pass the exams by the 9th of July.
Everything you will need to complete the course is available on the online platform. The course has 4 modules and the material is available in PDF format to download, study and print if you wish. Our material is dynamic and varied and includes audiovisual multimedia resources, links to complementary information, interesting facts, practical examples and research tools. You will have access to an online forum with a tutoring team at your disposal for any queries.
There is an exam at the end of each module (between 10 and 20 questions each) and you are given three attempts to pass. There is also a final exam (between 30 and 40 questions) which covers topics from the entire course and must be passed on the first attempt. All exam questions are multiple choice, true/false or matching.
Once you have successfully passed all the exams, your certificate will be sent automatically to the email address you used for registration within 10 working days of the official end date of the course.
Our certificates are officially backed by the EADL (European Association for Distance Learning) and are assured under the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. This certificate will be complete with an electronic signature and stamp as well as a unique secure verification code. Any person or company can verify the validity of the certificate using this code. We are also included in the Transparency Register of the European Union.
